Classic Lambretta scooters have been made in lots of different countries worldwide but originated, like any other great scooter, in Italy. Italy is very well known for its scooters. Many moons ago Innocenti built its first scooter, the Model (M) which was released in 1947. It has been over 50 years since the first petrol scooters appeared and now there is almost a scooter designed for every need. They have gained popularity worldwide as they are cheap to run and insure, very economical and are very functional and are great for commuters and are very fun to ride. There are Lambretta clubs for the hardcore fans where Lambretta owners can meet up and share their interest and love of classic Lambretta scooters.
